Monochrome Madness – Blast from the past

For my non theme post this week I thought I might take a look at some photos that were shown for Monochrome Madness in the early days. I went back to my first WordPress blog to find these.

I started using this self-hosted blog permanently in 2016 so these are all from before then. I don’t know that my photography has changed that much. Perhaps now I’m getting lazier. I don’t work on as many images anymore. I just don’t devote my whole life to it now. I spend my time on many other things as well. I think I’m also much happier too.

Perhaps I have found the right balance.

I hope you enjoy these throwbacks.

Participating in Monochrome Madness

If you would like to participate in this challenge please post photos on your blog and use the tag Monochrome-Madness, then I can use the reader to see what you post.

You can also leave a pingback, do they still call them that? Basically, you put a link to my monochrome madness post in your post and it leaves a link in the comment section.

Don’t forget to check out the Monochrome Madness page. On this page, the next theme is announced and there is also all the information for participating. We have also included a list of themes that will be coming in the future so if you want to be able to plan ahead you can. They aren’t in order, but will happen. Please go and check it out. Click on the Monochrome Madness heading in the menu.

Also if you would like to host one week or more, let me know.

    1. Yeah I think so Sarah, I know I’m feeling a better within myself too. I was so devoted, or obsessed maybe. I spent all my time on social media, taking photos and processing. Nothing else got done. So glad I’ve calmed down. Thank you Sarah and I don’t think Brian will mind.

  1. hello leanne
A wonderful selection of pictures that you present to us here, I like them very much, especially the 3rd and 4th.
    best regards robert

    1. That’s okay Margaret, doing it when you can is all we can ask, and thank you for sending me the link, I don’t think the pingback arrived, not sure what happened. Though I have noticed you have to link the actual post and not the site in general. Who knows sometimes. Thank you.

  2. I also had to cut down on the amount of time I spend on processing — even the simplest processing. It was eating my life. Now I do it in chunks. I leave pictures on the cards until I have time to deal with them. My next goal? Taking fewer duplicate or nearly duplicate photos. Even I can’t tell the difference between them so I’m betting no one else can tell either. And I’m happier too.

    1. It can eat a lot into your time, that’s for sure.I don’t care about the photos I take so much, I put them on my laptop, but it might take me a while to go through them. I don’t worry about it too much now. That’s great to hear that you are happier too now. I am find the same. Thank you Marilyn.

  3. Your early photography is great, Leanne! No worries, I totally understand the time spent of photos, I do it too and it takes up a lot of your time.

    1. Thank you John, that’s good to hear. It can take a lot of time, I miss it sometimes, but I also love all the time I have for other things.

  4. I do like that chair photo. It’s like I can almost hear the sound of high heels clicking on that floor.

    1. And if you went to where the chair was you probably would hear that, it was in the foyer of a place of business. Thank you Lois.
